The star of The Morning Show shared in an exclusive interview his ongoing and difficult battle with depression and anxiety. Mark Duplass has been open about his mental health.

The 48-year-old actor told Page Six during the Gotham Television Awards that it is an exhausting process.

“I feel like I have to keep showing up, keep working. And sometimes that’s exhausting, but what choice do I have?” he commented.

Mark Duplass also said he has been using the same medication for almost twenty years to treat his depression. ‘It’s a critical and fundamental part of my system.’

“It’s a really complicated system: making sure I get enough sleep, exercise every day, be extremely careful with the medication I take, I can never forget a day,” explained the actor.

The co-creator of “Penelope” posted a smiling photo in October 2023 to share an honest glimpse of his daily battle to stay stable.

“When I see pictures like this, I can see the fear and sadness behind the smile. Even in my ‘happiest’ moments,” the actor detailed.

“But in times like these, when the world is so scary and sad, it’s a struggle just to stand and not fall apart,” he continued.

Since then, Mark Duplass has been an important figure on social media to raise awareness about mental health.

“I realized this was a torch that might be worth carrying. So I became much more conscious and willing to share,” he wrote.
